So, with the onset of the softwater fishing season, the delivery and pick up of our new boat and the recent investments made in gear and tackle, I would like to propose the first annual Smoke on the Water Grand Slam Challenge! This challenge is extended to all of the BASStards if they so choose.
The rules are simple.
There is no entry fee (unless people successfully complete the challenge).
You must catch at least one of each of the following:
- 10lb pike
- 4lb bass
- 5lb walleye
- 1 muskie, any length or weight
All fish must be caught over the span of 1 softwater season.
All entries must be verified by another BASStard or must be documented in a picture (species and weight).
If in any category, all contestants qualify, then the minimum for that category will be increased the following season.
Any angler who achieves the Grand Slam will be entitled to a rod or reel totaling $100. Any amount in excess of that will be paid for by the Grand Slam angler.
There may be no Grand Slams or everyone can hit a Grand Slam. The potential is there for all of us to win. There can be multiple winners in any season.Good luck to all you BASStards.

ReplyDeleteDuk Noonan need not worry about that which shall remain nameless since we have live wells. In any case, we'll be using his catch as bait for our fish so it's a moot point.
I don't see Knot yo' Cheese here...hmmm...one would think the owner of a great reel would be up to the challenge. All those who followed in my rig selection footsteps are game so it begs the question, "Is Knot Yo' Cheese ready to embark on this journey?"

I'm taking this challenge. But on the sole condition that I will NOT be required to touch,hold or even weigh the fish. I'll be in the picture (with no tears in my eyes), but you can't make me hold the fish.

LOL so... we are waiting on Knot'Yo and Duk... If they don't join, that is some WEAK SAUCE! Especially since this was Knot'Yo's idea and his girlfriend is taking part in this challenge...
